Urungach Lakes — Jade Waters of the Ugam-Chatkal Park
The water here really is jade-colored — a rare mineral makeup sets the Urungach lakes apart from anything else in the region. Unlike resort-developed Chimgan, there’s no infrastructure here at all, just quiet, mountains, and a hike up to the upper lake for those willing to walk the extra kilometer.
Route
Tashkent → the Charvak reservoir → the Pskem River → the lower Urungach lake → the upper Urungach lake (optional) → Tashkent.
Why this tour
- The jade color of the water is a unique feature you won’t find at any other lake on our tours.
