A tour for travelers who want to see Shakhrisabz — Tamerlane’s UNESCO-listed hometown — in addition to the four main cities. The route runs west to east, from Urgench to Tashkent, without doubling back.
Route
Urgench → Khiva → Bukhara → Shakhrisabz → Samarkand → Tashkent.
Day by day
- Arrival in Urgench, transfer to Khiva, free evening.
- Khiva: Ichan-Kala, Kunya-Ark fortress, Tash-Khauli palace, Islam-Khoja minaret.
- Drive to Bukhara across the Kyzylkum desert, stop by the Amu Darya river.
- Bukhara: Samanid mausoleum, Ark fortress, Poi-Kalyan ensemble, Lyab-i Hauz.
- Drive to Shakhrisabz — tour of the Ak-Saray palace ruins and the Dorus-Saodat memorial complex, continue to Samarkand in the evening.
- Samarkand: Registan Square, Gur-Emir mausoleum, Bibi-Khanym mosque.
- Samarkand continued: Shah-i-Zinda, Ulugbek Observatory; transfer to Tashkent.
- Tashkent: Khast-Imam complex, Chorsu Bazaar, old town walk.
- Transfer to the airport, departure.
