The reverse direction is also available — Almaty → Tashkent, via Issyk-Kul, Bishkek, Samarkand, Shakhrisabz, Dushanbe, Bukhara and Khiva.

Route

Tashkent → Amirsoy resort → Charvak → Khiva → Bukhara → Shakhrisabz → Dushanbe → Samarkand → Bishkek → Ala-Archa National Park → Lake Issyk-Kul → Almaty.

  3. Trip to the Amirsoy resort, the Charvak reservoir. Train to Khiva.

  6. Bukhara continued: Poi-Kalyan ensemble, the trading domes.
  7. Drive to Shakhrisabz, then on to Dushanbe.
  8. Dushanbe: city tour. Train to Samarkand.
  9. Samarkand: Registan Square, Gur-Emir mausoleum.
  10. Samarkand continued: Ulugbek Observatory.
  11. Train day to Bishkek (over 1,000 km).
  12. Bishkek: Ala-Archa National Park.
  13. Drive to Lake Issyk-Kul, then on to Almaty.
  14. Almaty: the Zenkov Cathedral and other city highlights.
  15. Transfer to the airport, departure.
