Stargazing Night in Parkent — an Evening Tour from Tashkent
All our other tours start in the morning and finish before sunset — this is the one that starts in the evening, after the usual sightseeing has wrapped up. A sunset over the mountains, a campfire, a DJ, and a sky free of city glow where you can actually see Saturn’s rings through a telescope.
Route
Tashkent → Parkent → the “Physics-Sun” heliocomplex → return to Tashkent.
Why this tour
- Our only evening/night format — a perfect add-on after a day packed with sightseeing.
- The “Physics-Sun” heliocomplex is one of only two facilities like it in the world, the other in France.
- A research staff member guides the telescope viewing, so you actually learn what you’re looking at, not just glance at the sky.
- The atmosphere — campfire, music, baked potatoes — feels more like a night out with friends than a typical tour.
Itinerary
Departure from Tashkent at 17:00, drive to Parkent (about an hour). A tour of the Sun Institute — a unique heliocomplex (one of only two in the world, the other in France) — and a climb to the upper platform with mountain views. After dark: a campfire, DJ music, baked potatoes, and stargazing through a telescope with a research staff member. Optional barbecue available for an extra fee. Return to Tashkent around midnight.
