Uzbekistan's first Hyatt mountain resort opens in the Chimgan mountains

The Beldersoy Resort and SPA opened on 15 July 2026 in the Chimgan–Bostanliq mountain region, roughly 80 kilometres northeast of Tashkent, marking the debut of the Destination by Hyatt brand in Uzbekistan. According to a press release issued by Hyatt Hotels Corporation, the property is the first internationally branded luxury mountain resort in the country.

Set at the foot of ski slopes served by gondola lifts, with panoramic views across the Tian Shan foothills, the resort comprises 109 mountain-inspired rooms and 36 private villas. The interiors weave together contemporary alpine design and Uzbek artistic heritage — hand-crafted local artwork and traditional craft motifs appear throughout the property, as noted in Hyatt’s announcement.

Beldersoy positions itself as a year-round destination. Winter guests can ski and snowboard on nearby slopes, while warmer months open up hiking and mountain-biking trails threading through the surrounding landscape. A wellness spa and several dining venues complete the offering.

For travellers combining a Tashkent city break with a nature escape, the location is a comfortable day trip or an easy overnight stay from the capital. The opening is a clear sign of the growing confidence international hospitality groups have in Uzbekistan: the country welcomed more than 6.5 million foreign visitors in the first half of 2026 alone.
