Mobile Connectivity and Internet for Tourists in Uzbekistan

There’s good 4G coverage in every major city on the tourist route — Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva. Signal can drop out in mountainous and remote areas.

A local SIM card

You can buy a SIM card at Tashkent airport or any phone shop in the city — you’ll need your passport. Local carriers (Beeline, Ucell, Mobiuz) offer tourist plans with enough data for 1-2 weeks for $5-10.

eSIM

If your phone supports eSIM, you can buy a virtual SIM from an international provider before you even fly — saving you from hunting for a shop on day one, though it usually costs more than a local SIM.
